Triple Eight has won 13 of the 18 available drivers’, manufacturers’ and Teams' titles in the past six years. The outfit, formed in 1996, is based in the UK’s “Motorsport Valley” near Silverstone and was primarily formed to design, build and race the Super Touring Vectra on behalf of Vauxhall Motors.
In 2001, the company undertook a development programme for the Astra Coupe, which resulted in unprecedented success in the BTCC.
For the 2007 season, the Oxfordshire-based engineering company is developing a brace of Vauxhall Vectra S2000 cars on behalf of VX Racing to reclaim the coveted manufacturer title, which they have won five times over the past six racing seasons.
