Family fun at Saxon Court

There was fun for all of the family when Redrow hosted a traditional afternoon tea at Saxon Court in Sherburn in Elmet.

The event was held to celebrate the launch of Redrow’s New Heritage Collection, which marks the return to the company’s roots of traditional, quality built family homes. In keeping with this theme, Redrow treated visitors to the new show homes with afternoon tea and balloon modelling and tricks from a children’s entertainer.

Patsy Aicken, sales manager for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), said: “At Redrow we pride ourselves in building homes that families want to live in, but we understand that children don’t enjoy viewing show homes in the same way that adults do. By laying on some entertainment we were able to help keep the children occupied while their parents looked around the show homes.”

One lucky family who visited Saxon Court will treasure the experience, after winning a family portrait session courtesy of Redrow.

Patsy said: “The New Heritage Collection features homes with traditional exteriors with the latest, modern interiors. To encourage potential purchasers to take a close look at the exteriors, which feature key architectural influences, styles, shapes, colours and textures from the Arts and Crafts movement, we asked them to guess how many bricks were used to construct the four-bedroom ‘Cambridge’ show home.”

Claire Pepperday, of Mirfield, was the closest – but says her answer was a complete guess. She is now looking forward to being photographed with her family.

To see the New Heritage Collection for yourself, visit the show homes at Saxon Court, open daily from 10am to 5.30pm.
