Dan Y Graig receives a sporting boost

With warmer weather approaching, pupils at Dan Y Graig Primary School in Port Tennant won’t be short on outdoor activities to keep them active, thanks to a welcome boost from Taylor Wimpey.

This month, the housebuilder presented deputy head teacher, Adrian Byrne, with a cheque for £1,560, which will be used to fund new rugby kits for the school’s senior and junior teams as well as helping to buy a climbing wall for the school’s playground.

Adrian says: “As the school has limited outdoor space for children to play in, the climbing wall will help us to provide our pupils with somewhere outside to have fun and learn. We are extremely grateful to Taylor Wimpey for its support, which brings us all the closer to purchasing the climbing wall. We look forward to all of our pupils being able to make good use of the climbing wall in lessons and at break times.

“In addition, Taylor Wimpey has also kindly helped replace the school’s rugby kits. The two teams were fast outgrowing their old kits so they are now looking forward to playing in their new gear this season!”
