Peace of mind mot test insurance from GM aftersales

If you drive an older Vauxhall, Saab or Chevrolet and want to protect your pocket against any problems with the next MOT, GM Aftersales has the answer – MOT Test Insurance.

Available at participating Vauxhall MasterFit Centres across the 400 strong network throughout the UK, plus participating Saab and Chevrolet retailers, the policy will cover you against the cost of repair and replacement of an extensive range of parts that fall within the scope of the annual safety and roadworthiness test.

More than 20 key areas are covered, including lighting, steering and suspension, brakes, fuel system, mirrors and seatbelts, should your car or car-derived van fail its MOT. Repairs up to a total value of £750 are covered and the cost of this peace of mind is an annual premium of just £75.

MOT Test Insurance includes most Vauxhall cars and all car-derived vans, plus Saab and Chevrolet* cars up to eight years old having covered less than 80,000 miles, provided that there is at least six months until your vehicle’s first or next MOT is due and that your car has an up-to-date service history in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.

And if you decide to sell your vehicle privately before its next test, the policy can be transferred to the new owner.

* MOT Test Insurance is also available to owners of Daewoo cars up to eight years old.
