The Taming of the Brew

The award winning Creaky Cauldron museum in Henley Street is defying the recession and opening a magical Tea & Coffee Shoppe on Good Friday.

The Taming of the Brew will be unique to the town in that it will stock a range of unusual teas including eight different varieties of Mint tea such as Mint & Chilli as well as other ranges including Rooibos, Pear & Cinnamon tea and Blackcurrant, Ginseng & Vanilla tea. All teas and coffees stocked are either organic, fair-trade or ethically sourced. Hot chocolate, energising soft drinks, organic fruit juices plus old fashioned delicious snacks such as hot buttered crumpets, cakes, biscuits and pastries will also be served. The range of teas will be available for customers to purchase and take home.

The Creaky Cauldron is home to two magical attractions in the historic town. The Wizarding World of Doctor Thaddeus Bombay features family witchcraft and wizardology fun by day and The Stratford Ripper Experience, Warwickshire’s premier scare attraction, features a range of terrifying ghost events for adults by night. Authentically decorated and furnished, The Taming of the Brew has been themed around the Victorian style buffets found on stations of the Great Wizarding Railway.

The Creaky Cauldron is also home to ‘Seek the Magic’, a business recognised the world over as the leading and most traditional manufacturer of magical wares. Sold from the premises, some herbal recipes are over 350 years old whilst some of the incense blends date back over 2000 years.

Dave Matthews, CEO of Seek the Magic Org said "We are delighted to be opening our magical Tea & Coffee Shoppe which will be unique to Stratford. Our teas and coffees come from all corners of the world from China to Kenya and from Bangladesh to Vietnam. We will be selling a truly unique range that will provide our customers with the ultimate tea drinking experience and unlimited refills”.

The Creaky Cauldron museum is open every day from 10:00am – 5:30pm. For more information visit the website at seekthemagic.org.
