Britain's Got Talent semi-finalist Merlin Cadogan ensured Barratt’s new development in Quedgeley got off to a lively start recently with a breathtaking performance to visitors at a family fun day.

The 35 year old performer has many skills but specialises in juggling and wizardry. He also incorporates comedy, balancing and unicycling into his shows.

“Merlin proved a brilliant entertainer and visitors were hugely impressed with his talent,’’ said Barratt sales director Andrea Pilgrim. “Talent is really important to Barratt in terms of design and being able to help people move home so Merlin complemented our offering perfectly.’’

At Kings Green Barratt is building a range of three, four and five bedroom homes with the first homes reserved even before the development opened.

“The property market in this region appears to be making a recovery and people are on the lookout for a fresh start in a new home,’’ said Andrea.

She said that Barratt’s commitment to style and quality together with schemes to help first time buyers and those moving up the housing ladder have all helped generate early interest in Kings Green.

“We have seven award winning NHBC site managers in the region, including a national runner-up in Bob Burgess, we offer a five year guarantee on fixtures and fittings and Barratt was the only major housebuilder to be given a four star rating in the 2009 HBF Customer Satisfaction Survey.’’

The first phase at Kings Green includes the four bedroom Woodcote townhouse. It is proving popular with buyers looking for extra space in a contemporary setting. The Woodcote offers an open-plan living/dining area with French windows giving a light and airy feel.

The development is part of a new community in Quedgeley – a small town on the outskirts of Gloucester. Transport links are close-by with easy access to the M5 and the A38. Gloucester train station is five miles away – offering links to London, Reading and Bristol. And schools, shops and other local amenities are all within easy reach.
