Couple trade up with part exchange in Aberuthven

A Scottish couple are living the dream in a brand new home in Aberuthven thanks to part-exchange from Redrow.
James and Sharmon Anderson fell in love with their new home instantly but had not given much thought to selling their existing property.
Sharmon explained: “We had occasionally looked around at new homes but nothing serious until we saw the ‘Weaver’ at Graemeslea. We both said ‘it’s lovely – we must have that one’. We reserved the house there and then.”
Company director James and retiree Sharmon, both 61, traded up from a three-bedroom home, which they bought as a new-build seven years ago, to the four-bedroom ‘Weaver’. They took advantage of Redrow’s part-exchange scheme, giving them extra space to entertain their grandchildren.
“It was all very easy - we agreed a sale with Redrow on our old home within a week. Part-exchange is definitely the way to buy a home as you don’t have the hassle of trying to secure a buyer for the property you’re moving from,” Sharmon commented.
“We couldn’t fault it in any way. Redrow are very efficient and professional. I would recommend it because everything worked so smoothly.”
Mary McHutchison, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Scotland), said: “Graemeslea offers an exclusive selection of luxury four and five-bedroom homes constructed to the high standards our customers expect. Those with an existing property to sell may find that they too can trade up to a bigger, better brand new home without the hassle of housing chains as with part-exchange moving day doesn’t have to be a distant diary date.”
Close to the quaint town of Auchterarder, Graemeslea boasts excellent transport links across the region to Dundee, Perth, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The ‘Weaver’, similar to that purchased by the Andersons, is available from £296,500.
The well planned, spacious ‘Weaver’ includes a separate lounge, dining room and generous kitchen with not one but two en-suites.
