There are few jobs as glamorous and financially rewarding as being a professional racing driver. You are just a click away from the opportunity to get on that ladder. There is a prize worth £80,000 up for grabs, which is a drive in a race car for the 2009 season.

Great Britain, the home of global motorsport, has many racing driver heroes: Lewis Hamilton, Damon Hill and Jackie Stewart to name but a few. Will you be next in line?

All you have to do is visit vxrdriver.co.uk and fill in a short questionnaire and skills assessment test to qualify for the next round. It’s free, it’s quick and with a bit of luck you could find yourself living the glamorous life of a professional racing driver, a few years down the line.

The competition is open to all drivers over the age of 21 who have never held a race licence, but be quick you must enter by 27 June 2008.

From all entries 1,620 successful applicants will be put through their paces in the karting semi-finals before 15 finalists are selected for the intensive three-day final, which will decide the 2008 VXR Racing Driver of the Year.
