Champions target more wins at Croft
VX Racing has won six of the 12 races so far in the 2008 HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), making it the most successful team to date this season when the championship arrives at Croft this coming weekend for rounds 13, 14 and 15.Following the team’s double success from Thruxton last week thanks to superb drives from youngster Tom Onslow-Cole, the reigning BTCC Drivers’ and Manufacturers’ Champions are focusing on extending their championship leads with further podium finishes.
The season reaches its half-way stage at the North Yorkshire circuit and VX Racing looks strong in the title fights with all three drivers represented in the top four. The reigning BTCC Champion Fabrizio Giovanardi currently leads the drivers’ classification by 18 points.
Qualifying for round 13 of the BTCC will be held on Saturday 31 May at 15:15, with the first of three races starting at 12:00 on Sunday 1 June.
