A recent YouGov survey reveals that 91% of parents with children up to eight years said their children could enjoy a holiday without theme parks or amusement arcades, while 75% of those parents planned to include traditional activities such as country walks and cycling on their trip.

Esprit Family Adventures has known this for years and their holidays offer all manner of fun activities to keep children and parents active and entertained, from only £175 per person for a week’s family summer holiday abroad.

“Traditional activities are also healthy ones”, said Esprit’s Head of Marketing, Moira Clarke. “Our holidays offer families a huge range of free outdoor fun as well as the chance to hike in the mountains, cycle along valley paths, plus the opportunity to try out more adventurous activities such as rock-climbing, white water rafting and forest adventure trails.”

The programme features four selected resorts in the French and Swiss Alps, most of which offer family passes for discounted travel or participation in activities and guests can benefit further from Esprit’s own exclusive new range of ‘Crunch-Buster’ money-saving deals and added value offers.

Accommodation is in Esprit’s own fully catered Chalet Hotels and prices start from £349 per adult per week (after a £50 per adult ‘Cash-Back’ offer for early bookings), with the first child aged 2-5 years free and others from £99, depending on age and includes seven nights’ accommodation with daily buffet breakfast, children’s high tea and five-course adult evening meals with wine and coffee for five nights, and a family barbecue on the sixth evening.
