Armathwaite Hall, near Keswick, one of England’s most glorious stately homes overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake, is now the Lake District’s first luxury spa hotel thanks to a multi million pound development.
For some The Spa at Armathwaite Hall will be a place to retreat, relax and restore while for others it will be a place to socialise, celebrate and simply revel in the natural beauty of the stunning location combined with the sophistication of the facilities and treatments available.
Visitors to the Spa can take the woodland trail down to the lake to appreciate the pure tranquillity of the location or simply unwind in the deliciously warm water of the outdoor hot tub which overlooks the gardens – an experience not to be missed!
The inspiration for this spacious contemporary new spa and its exclusive Signature Rituals came from the rich timber of the surrounding woodland and the serenity of Bassenthwaite Lake. The spa’s facilities include a 16 metre infinity swimming pool with indoor waterfall, a thermal zone, fitness suite, dance studio, treatment rooms including one couples room complete with private whirlpool bath, a ‘hush’ tranquillity room with a veranda overlooking the gardens and a private spa lounge with a central fireplace and dining area.
The Spa offers a full range of face, body and holistic treatments from luxury skincare lines and Terraké, chosen to complement the traditions, ethos and integrity of Armathwaite Hall and for being results driven to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Exclusive to The Spa at Armathwaite Hall are its signature rituals which take inspiration from the surrounding woodland and still waters of Bassenthwaite Lake helping to nurture mind, body and soul to true tranquility. These indulgent face and body treatments include: Armathwaite Tranquil Lakes, Bassenthwaite Ritual, Precious Stones Relaxation Ritual, Marine Cascade Hydration Ritual and Earth Cocoon Ritual.
The Spa at Armathwaite also offers a ‘Teen Spa’ experience adopting a ‘how to’ approach to educate teens on how to care for their skin in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The treatments are available daily between 4.30 and 6.30. The Teen Spa experience caters for 14-18 year olds whilst the Mini-Teen Spa caters for 12-14 year olds, all under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.
