Peugeot 406 Coupe Club marks its anniversary at Beaulieu

2010 marks the 200th birthday of Peugeot, the 80th birthday of Pininfarina, and the 5th birthday of the UK based Peugeot 406 Coupe Club.  To celebrate these anniversaries the 406 Coupe Club will be holding a special ‘birthday’ meet on Sunday, 23rd May, in the grounds of the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, in the heart of the New Forest National Park.

The Peugeot 406 Coupe is the product of a joint collaboration between the French car firm Peugeot and the Italian designers Pininfarina, which has resulted in a highly successful and multi award winning modern classic.  The anniversary meet will be the perfect opportunity for owners, past and present, to come along and meet other members, whilst exchanging knowledge and chat of what is fast becoming a rare car.

David Bater of the 406 Coupe Club said: “This special birthday meet at Beaulieu is shaping up to be the biggest ever, even beating the French 406 Coupe club’s record. We already have over 70 cars signed up, coming fromFrance and Holland as well as theUK, and are hoping the final total may reach 100.”

406 Coupe owners wishing to participate in the meet should arrive at the Beaulieu attraction from 10am, no pre-booking is required.  In addition to the meet, there is the whole Beaulieu attraction to enjoy, including theNational Motor Museum with its collection of over 250 vehicles plus World of Top Gear, Palace House, home of the Montagu family, and Beaulieu Abbey ruins.
