Online business insurance facility hits the spot with brokers
Aviva's online quote and buy facility for small business insurance, Fast Trade, has been given improved functionality for brokers based on customer feedback.
Enhancements include package product, Commercial Property Owners, a fast-tracked referral process and online cancellation and renewal processing, which means Fast Trade is Aviva's first full cycle processing system for commercial package business.
A number of rating changes were also made to the products, making it quicker and easier to register for Fast Trade, and improving the Residential Property Owners product has made it possible to provide quotes for student-tenanted houses, without referral to an Aviva underwriter.
Fast Trade has also made it easier for brokers to know which trades Aviva can accept and decline, and those which need to be referred to an Aviva underwriter, by providing all the information upfront.
Fast Trade is accessed by our broker website, aviva.co.uk/broker which provides product information and an online claims management service, including the option to customise the site to a broker's particular needs which means commercial and personal lines brokers can choose to see only product information relevant to them.

Christine McLellan, managing director of insurance brokers Anderson & Co, which has been using the Fast Trade product since it was launched, said: "The Fast Trade system is so easy to use which means we save precious time and money. Being able to print instant policy documents, even including mid-term adjustments, and email them straight to the client means we have some very happy customers. The website is also one of the easiest to use and we have excellent feedback from our clients who say the policy documents are simple and straightforward."

There are six commercial packages available via Fast Trade; Office and Surgery, Residential Property Owners, Commercial Property Owners, Self-employed, Shop and Salon and Pub, Restaurant and Hotel.
