Chevrolet continues partnership with Royal Artillery Motorcycle Display Team

Chevrolet continues partnership with Royal Artillery Motorcycle Display Team Following last year’s successful partnership, Chevrolet and the Royal Artillery Motorcycle Display Team are once again joining forces to tour the UK. It’s not every day you can see Chevrolet vehicles star in these incredible aerial displays but thanks to their continued association with the Royal Artillery Motorcycle Display Team – The Flying Gunners, that’s exactly what visitors to shows across the UK have in store.

This year Chevrolet has provided two Captiva SUVs, a Lacetti Station Wagon and a brand-new Epica, for all 19 displays in the 2008 season running from May to September. The vehicles will benefit the team in two ways, firstly they will be used to transport the riders around the UK to their many appearances and secondly the grand finale of each event will feature the team jumping the four cars!

Speaking of the Chevrolet sponsorship, Captain Derek Jeffers said: “We are extremely pleased to be continuing our relationship with Chevrolet for this year’s tour. We are looking forward to the brand new vehicles that Chevrolet has provided for us, they’re a pleasure to drive, look great during the show, and the final jump over the cars always gets a great reaction from the crowd!”

The Royal Artillery Motorcycle Display team is based in Larkhill, Salisbury. All riders are fully trained soldiers from the Royal Artillery units, who stay in the team for between two and four years. To find an event near you please visit army.mod.uk/ra/mcdt
