BT has announced the launch of a new and bigger on demand film subscription service, the first of its kind in the UK.  BT Vision Film Club will now offer more than twice as many on demand movies for BT Vision subscribers to choose from every month.

BT Vision Film Club brings together a range of film services from major Hollywood studios, there will be over 60 films available every month with 14 films refreshed every week.  It brings together Picturebox, with access to great films such as Untraceable, The Other Boleyn Girl and Nanny McPhee;  WarnerFilms, a brand new service, offering a great selection of recent movies and library titles from the Studio’s vast collection, which will include Cats and Dogs, Goodfellas, Music and Lyrics, The Wedding Singer and Batman Begins; Sony Pictures Television with Hollywood greats such as Candyman and The Cable Guy and quality independent titles from Fim4OD such as Elizabeth and Shallow Grave.

Film fans can subscribe to Film Club for £6.99 a month or as an option within BT Vision’s Bronze, Silver and Gold viewing packages.  Alternatively customers can choose to subscribe to Picturebox or WarnerFilms alone for £4.99 per month each.

Marc Watson, chief executive of BT Vision, said: “We already have an extensive catalogue of over 600 films available in the UK courtesy of our long-term deals with the major Hollywood studios.  Now our Value Pack film subscribers will have an even wider choice of titles each week for no extra charge.”

“All of our films are available on-demand, so you won’t have to fit in with a broadcaster’s schedule or miss the first part of the film. You can start it when you are ready and pause or rewind the film whenever you want.”

BT Vision combines Freeview channels via the aerial with on-demand content delivered via BT Broadband. Customers can choose from three viewing packages, which include ESPN for live Premier League football matches and live Scottish Premier League matches.

BT Vision allows customers to pay-per-view or subscribe to thousands of hours of sport, documentaries, drama and kids entertainment, available on-demand, as well as interactive services and all the Freeview channels, all available on the TV, with no compulsory subscription.
