Buy a ‘58’ for a thrifty rate in Chevrolet’s September sale

British registration plates may have just changed to the latest ‘58’ series of numbers, but one thing hasn’t changed at all – and that’s Chevrolet’s approach to value for money motoring.

Despite the vast majority of car companies looking to capitalise on customers wanting the very latest registration number to not give discounts, Chevrolet is once again bucking the trend by running a September sale on selected ‘58’-plate models.

Three popular Chevrolet models are included in the promotion, which offers savings of up to a massive £2,375 on certain brand new cars.

The biggest saving is on the popular Kalos supermini, with the superbly-equipped 1.4SX five-door reduced from £9,370 to just £6,995. With standard equipment including air conditioning, four airbags, remote central locking, electric front and rear windows, electrically-adjustable door mirrors, a CD-stereo with steering wheel-mounted audio controls, leather-covered steering wheel and gearknob and smart 15-inch alloy wheels, it’s a great way to enjoy life’s little luxuries for the price of other manufacturers’ most basic models.

Also benefiting from a huge reduction, the already reasonably-priced Lacetti 1.6SX comes down by a massive £2,120, from £11,415 to just £9,295 on-the-road. Again, the car features an impressive list of standard equipment including air con, remote locking, a CD player, four airbags, cooled glovebox, alloy wheels, body-coloured bumpers and mirrors and electric windows all-round.

The third model on offer is the perennially-popular Matiz 1.0SE, reduced from £6,995 to £5,995 – a saving of £1,000. Like all Chevrolet models, the model is well-equipped, including body-coloured bumpers and trim, a CD-stereo, twin airbags, remote central locking and electric front windows.
