Families looking for a stylish new home that places them perfectly between town and country will find just what they are looking for when Redrow unveils its latest show home at Pear Tree Park in Dalkeith.

The three-bedroom Fairwood show home - described as an ‘oasis of calm’ - has been styled by a team of interior designers.

Boasting a range of stunning features, including an en-suite to the master bedroom and top brand name appliances in the kitchen, Redrow will open the doors to its latest show home on Saturday, May 22.

Mary McHutchison, sales manager for Redrow Homes (Scotland) said: “Our Fairwood property is ideally suited to young families, professional couples, in fact any homebuyers looking for a stylish three-bedroom home in a great location.

“We are extremely proud of Pear Tree Park and all that the area has to offer, including its fantastic leisure facilities and golf courses. It is the perfect place to raise a family and is superbly located, within easy reach of Edinburgh and the City Bypass.”

The show home has been styled by interior design company Jane Clayton, who describe the interior as having a ‘young fresh feel,’ achieved through the use of natural creams, with accents of aubergine and metallic textures.

The use of mirrored furniture gives a feeling of light and space, complemented by an organic feel from the leaf designs on fabrics and wallpapers that recur throughout the home.

The Fairwood has been chosen to promote a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes and Pear Tree Park will eventually comprise 73 new homes.

Situated off Lauder Road, in Dalkeith, the development is accessible via the A68 Dalkeith Northern Bypass, a route which connects the A68 to the south of the town to a new junction on the A720 Edinburgh City Bypass.

The planned reopening of the Waverley Railway line, linking Edinburgh through Midlothian to the Scottish Borders, will also pass relatively close by; with good transport links planned between Dalkeith and proposed stations at Shawfair, Eskbank, Newtongrange and Gorebridge. This line is expected to be operational by 2013.

Prices start at £145,995 for a two-bedroom terraced home, with three-bedroom homes starting at £172,995 and four-bedroom properties from £210,000.

Join Redrow for the opening of its new show home this Saturday, May 22, from 10am.
