Estate of the economy

The 1.6 SX SW is priced at £9,695 for the March Sale, which runs between March 1 and March 15, meaning it becomes Britain’s least expensive family estate car and costs £2,670 less than the list price of £12,165.
Yet despite the bargain price tag, the Lacetti comes with a huge list of standard equipment, including front and rear electric windows, electrically adjustable door mirrors, air conditioning, a CD-stereo radio, 15-inch alloy wheels, a cooled glovebox, remote central locking and a leather covered steering wheel and gearknob – far more equipment than you’d expect to find in a mid-size estate that costs the same as a mass market supermini.
But it’s not just Lacetti buyers who’ll be making huge savings in March, as Chevrolet is also cutting the price of two more of its most popular models.
The three-door Aveo 1.2S hatchback is on offer at £6,495, representing a saving of £1,270 and making it an especially appealing option to younger drivers thanks to its stylish, sporty looks and impressive equipment levels.
Savings are also on offer for Matiz buyers, who can pick up the entry-level 0.8S model for £5,595 – a £720 saving.
The offers cannot be repeated and will only run to March 15, and each includes Chevrolet’s comprehensive three-year/60,000-mile warranty and six-year anti-perforation cover.
