Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles is delighted to announce Movano has won the coveted ‘Best New Van’ award at the Van Fleet World Honours which took place on 18 May at the Royal Automobile Club, London.

The second incarnation of the Vauxhall Movano brings a breath of fresh air to the light commercial vehicle market in the UK, combining innovative technologies with strong functionality and economy.

Van Fleet World Editor, John Kendall, said: ‘The Vauxhall Movano offers a significant improvement over the outgoing model with some really creative thinking about the driver environment, plus an excellent new engine derived from the Renault-Nissan two-litre common rail engine used extensively in passenger cars and the Vivaro van. It’s far more competitive than before with a broader range and exceeds the 3,500kg GVW limit for the first time for these models - necessary in the 17-seat minibus sector.’

Steve Bryant, Brand Manager at Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles, said: “Vauxhall is committed to the on-going strengthening of its commercial vehicle offering and escalating its activities in an area where it has an impressive tradition and proven expertise. The Van Fleet World Honours award of ‘Best New Van’ for the freshly-launched Movano is a prized acknowledgment of our determination to offer the best CVs to our customers.”

The Fleet World Honours are presented annually to those motor manufacturers, service companies and individuals who have, in the opinion of the judges, achieved the highest possible level of excellence in their sector. In addition to Fleet World's editorial team, the judging panel consists of representatives from the leasing industry, price guides and fleet management professionals.

Vauxhall cars were also acclaimed at the Fleet World Honours, with the all new Astra named ‘Best New Car’.
