Richard Rowson, business development director at thetrainline.com said:

“Since launching thetrainline.com app seven months ago we’ve continued to see a high amount of downloads every week and have held on to our top five position for free travel apps - beating off competition from other rail timetable providers. We have a huge amount of people actively using the app for journey planning every day, which is testament to its functionality and ease of use. We have plans to develop further functions for the app, so we look forward to providing our users with even more handy tools to help them plan their rail journeys.”

Iain Hildreth, marketing director at thetrainline.com said:

“We are very excited to see rail users respond so positively to thetrainline.com app. We wanted to make journey planning as easy as possible whilst on the move and judging by the number of people accessing the apps’ functions after downloading it we’re succeeding in doing just that. Reaching 20% of our total timetable requests on the app emphasises the value it’s brought to train travellers.”

The app is now available to download for free from thetrainline.com.
