Iconic Aston Martins up for auction at Newport Pagnell

On Saturday 22 May 2010 sees the 11th Annual Bonhams Auction at Aston Martin Works Service, Newport Pagnell - a highly anticipated event that sees a large variety of iconic Aston Martins as well as memorabilia for sale.

Dating back to the 1920s, Works Service has served as a factory-owned specialist with the experience, passion and culture to care for any post-war Aston Martin or Lagonda with exquisite skill and attention to detail. Customers from all over the world choose to have their Aston Martin serviced and cared for by Works Service who can offer services ranging from ground up restorations, to modifying and creating bespoke solutions to individual tastes.

Taking place within the atmospheric surroundings of the Newport Pagnell workshops, this year’s auction is a testament to the enduring strength of Aston Martin's brand, the strong performance of the classic car market and the company's belief in maintaining a unique relationship with owners and enthusiasts.

Director of Works Service and Parts Operations, Kingsley Riding-Felce said “Since 2000, nearly £22m worth of historic Aston Martins’ have been sold by Bonhams, together with historical documents, parts and other automotive ephemera. With so many incredible cars this year, from the 1950 Aston Martin DB2 Team Car to the 1959 Aston Martin DP2155 Works Service Design Project Car, 2010 is set to be another interesting year. We are looking forward to working with our friends at Bonhams for what promises to be yet another exciting and enjoyable sale.”

James Knight, the group Head of Bonhams Motoring Department said: “This sale has developed immeasurably over the past 11 years. Much of this is down to the support and enthusiasm from the team at Works Service. They share our desire for each sale to be even more successful than the last and with a host like that, it is no wonder the sales at Work Service have become so popular.”
