npower app allows customers to input meter readings

npower is set to shake up the energy market by launching its first smart phone app on both the Android and Apple platforms allowing large numbers of customers to input meter readings as well as access to exclusive content.

The innovative application is the first from a utility company to be developed for the new Google Nexus One phone (Android platform), which hit stores on 30th April 2010. 

The application, downloadable on both Apple and Android phones, has been developed as a helpful, functional and fun app allowing customers to give fast and accurate meter readings.   At the tap of their phone, users will be able to register their meter readings, find answers to frequently asked questions, emergency contact numbers, a fun game and all the npower Wallace and Gromit TV ads, including the new one, ‘Hand of Dog’.
