Action-packed fun in Northumberland
Kingswood Dukehouse Wood in Hexham, Northumberland is hosting an action-packed event on Saturday 5 June 2010, where children and adults alike will be able to try a range of fun and exhilarating activities – for free.
Dukeshouse Wood has just undergone a full refurbishment, with lots of new facilities put in place including a whole raft of new adventure activities making the centre one of the country’s leading residential activity centres. The activity park in the grounds houses many of these new additions, including a new quad bike track, indoor laser arena, indoor climbing wall, high ropes, zipwire, outdoor laser, Jacob’s Ladder and Leap of Faith. These high-adrenaline experiences are complimented with activities encouraging mental prowess and teambuilding, like Team Tech, Indoor Initiatives and Mission Possible.
The open day (10am – 4pm) aims to encourage families to try such activities as abseiling, zip-wiring or climbing* and all activities are free. Entry to the open day and the taster activities are free but all donations to the NSPCC will be gratefully received. There will be light lunch options available to purchase.
