Hendy Honda CR-Z preview impresses Exeter crowds

Thousands of cycling fans turned out to see the Halfords Tour Series in Exeter – and the spectators were also impressed with four wheel action courtesy of Hendy Honda which previewed the new CR-Z.
The new sporty hybrid from Honda was in action as Exeter hosted the latest round of the Halfords Tour Series – part of a national series of city centre cycle races.
Over five weeks teams from Britain and Ireland are competing in 11 city centre races and at all events Honda’s new CR-Z hybrid is helping officials perform the final safety checks on the track before racing gets underway.
The Hendy Honda branded CR-Z was also on display during the race and World Champion cyclist and ambassador for Honda, Ed Clancy took time out of his pre-race preparations to meet staff from the Exeter dealership.
As a member of the leading Motorpoint Marshalls Pasta team, Ed is a real motoring enthusiast and is driving to each race in a new Championship White Civic Type R.
Hendy Honda general sales manager Mark Strange said the evening race was a great chance for the city to see tremendous high speed cycling – and the brand new model from Honda.
“The new CR-Z has been attracting plenty of attention during its launch and having the car as part of the Halfords Tour Series has given even more people the opportunity to see the car,’’ said Mark.
