100 days worth of free home insurance with Nationwide

9th June 2010 Print

Nationwide Building Society has launched a new Home Insurance offer. If customers take out Nationwide Buildings and Contents cover at the same time, and by 5 September 2010, they will get 100 days worth of free insurance.

In addition, customers can qualify for an extra 20 days worth of free cover if they choose to buy online.

Defaqto, the independent financial research company, has recognised Nationwide Home Insurance for the quality of cover by giving it a 5 Star rating.  Therefore, customers could save money without compromising on quality.

Key features of Nationwide Home Insurance include:

Replacement TV, DVD player, computer and other home entertainment equipment, if accidentally damaged;

Unlimited buildings cover for eligible properties;

Cover for all reasonable costs of housing until the home is repaired, should it become uninhabitable due to storms or floods;

No extra charge for paying monthly by Direct Debit.

Nationwide's head of general insurance, John Baker, says:  "As always, we strive to give our customers the best possible home insurance cover so they can be assured they have bought a quality product they can rely on, at a great price.  We are delighted that our cover has been recognised this year with a 5 Star rating from an independent reviewer."

Nationwide Home Insurance also has a range of optional extras for those customers wishing to tailor their home insurance to suit their individual needs:

Home emergency cover for only £4.95 extra a month;
Up to £50,000 Legal Assistance for just £1.95 extra per month.

The 100 days free home insurance offer is part of Nationwide's Proud to be Different campaign. Marjorie Dawes, Little Britain's favourite fat fighter, will be fronting the insurance offer in-store with a selection of recipe cards for customers to try for themselves.
