npower kicks off its No Power Hour tour in Birmingham and Leeds with a football roadshow that has one giant goal – to get families switched on to power free fun.

Fuel your family’s football fever at Bimirmgham's Centenary Square and Briggate in Leeds over June 12th and 13th June

Playing the role of the No Power Hour team manger is Piers Morgan, a football fan himself he’ll be keeping a critical eye open for fancy footwork talent.

Joining his squad of experts is football freestyler John Farnworth, the World Freestyle Champion, who has some footwork tips for aspiring Messis and Kakas.

Forget a game of two halves, the weekend is split into two days of activities with Piers appearing on Saturday 12th in Birmingham and Sunday 13th in Leeds and John taking the field on Sunday 12th in Leeds and 13th in Birmingham

Each day runs from 11am till 5pm with one hour slots to get involved in.

Visitors will able to join in a mass warm up session, goal shooting skills, dribbling tips, keepy uppies practice and a ball control assault course.

The activities are open to all kids, and any big kids eager to have a kick about too, and people of all abilities.

npower is blowing the whistle on plugged in power with the No Power Hour tour which is designed to show families how simple it can be to switch off and do something together that doesn’t involve electricity.

Clare McDougall, who heads up npower’s No Power Hour tour, said: “With the nation’s football hopes at fever pitch what better time to encourage the kids to unplug their games consoles and get outdoors for a power free kick about instead.

“Our big goal is simple. Switch off for just an hour each day and you’ll have fun and do your bit for the planet at the same time. Planet one, climate change zero!”
