Yorkshire launches new two-year fixed rate mortgages

16th June 2010 Print

Yorkshire Building Society has once again topped the best buy tables for two-year fixed rate mortgages. At just 2.89% fixed for two years, the Yorkshire has released it's lowest ever fixed rate product for those with a 25% deposit.

Those with a smaller deposit can also score a great deal. The Yorkshire has a two-year fixed rate at 4.25% for those looking to borrow 85% of the value of their home. Low fees of £995 mean that the Yorkshire has hit the back of the net with both deals.

Tom Girling, Mortgage Product Manager at Yorkshire Building Society, said: "Our new two-year fixed rate deals offer fantastic value to both those with a large deposit and those perhaps taking their first steps onto the property ladder.

"Both deals are available online and from all our branches, where our fully qualified mortgage advisers can guide and support people buying a home through the house buying process.

"We plan to significantly increase our market share during 2010 and by offering great value products coupled with excellent service we believe we a genuine alternative to the banks."
