High five for NFU Mutual car insurance

For the fifth year running NFU Mutual, the UK's leading rural insurer, has been rated Britain's best car insurance provider by readers of Auto Express. Since the survey began, no other insurer has retained the number one spot for so long.

The magazine's ‘Driver Power' survey canvassed the opinions of more than 23,000 readers on the 45 leading insurance companies.

The independent survey asked readers to rate car insurers for communication, helpfulness, value for money and overall service. NFU Mutual received top marks in all four categories, fighting off competition from the likes of Direct Line, Aviva and the Post Office.

In addition to rating service elements of the insurer, readers were asked whether they would buy another policy from their existing insurance provider - 96% of NFU Mutual's customers said they would.

The Auto Express ‘Driver Power' survey award is not the only accolade NFU Mutual's car insurance has won this year. It achieved the maximum five-star rating from Defaqto, the independent financial research company - meaning car cover from NFU Mutual is among the best in the industry.
