Gleneagles chooses Renault Espace when renewing their V.I.P. fleet

As one of the world’s most prestigious hotels, The Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire is synonymous with luxury. Its chauffeur service for guests is no exception, with the hotel opting for one of the grandest MPVs on the road, the Renault Espace, for its fleet.

Gleneagles has added seven Grand Espaces to its chauffeur car fleet, replacing the previous shape Espaces they ran for five years. The award-winning hotel has 266 bedrooms including 16 suites, therefore the Espaces are in high demand for the thousands of guests who visit the AA Five Red Star resort each year.

As well as providing chauffeur drive services allowing guests to not only stay in the lap of luxury but travel in it too, the Espaces are also used to show hotel guests around the resort itself offering stunning views of the surrounding scenery and covering on average 80,000 miles per year.

John Riddell, Chauffeur Drive Manager, is responsible for a team of thirteen drivers and the management and upkeep of the vehicles.

John said; “We have used Renault Espaces for the last five years. The seat configuration is ideal for our requirements, offering flexibility and space for our guests and their luggage”.

The Gleneagles Hotel opened in 1924, and is described as the ‘Palace in the Glens’ offering guests a luxurious haven in the heart of Scotland.
