Festival fun homes in on Lichfield

For a guaranteed fun family weekend, a visit to this year’s Festival Market – part of the City’s famous Lichfield Festival – is a must.
The Festival Market, sponsored by Persimmon Homes, is taking place on Saturday 10th July and is completely free to attend. On the Persimmon Homes stand (A22), there will be free face painting for the children and a teddy-bear naming competition. What’s more, visitors can also enter a raffle to be in with a chance of winning a stunning custom-made Persimmon cake, proceeds of which will be donated to Persimmon’s nominated charity partner, Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
Anita Williams, sales and marketing director for Persimmon Homes West Midlands, said: “After weeks of back-to-back World Cup football, many families will be in need of spending some quality time together and where better to visit than the Lichfield Festival where there will be something to see or do for the young and young at heart.”
Widely regarded as the West Midlands’ pre-eminent multi-arts festival, Lichfield Festival, now in its 29th year, attracts around 50,000 visitors every year who are able to enjoy 60 events over ten days in ten venues.
This year the Festival Market will be organised into different zones of activity including “See It”, “Make It”, “Ask It”, “Do It” and “Eat It”. Arts and crafts people will be demonstrating their creative skills selling handmade goods, there will be performances, creative activities for visitors to get involved with and information will be available on how visitors can get involved in arts activities.
Persimmon Homes West Midlands is currently building in Lichfield, Telford, Cannock, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Bridgnorth, Darlaston, Tipton, Newport, Armitage and Stourbridge.
