The New Forest Tour Bus at Beaulieu

The New Forest Tourism Association has just commenced its popular hop-on hop-off bus tour service which will run from June 19 until mid September. The bus is the perfect, environmentally responsible way in which to enjoy all the popular places in the forest, with just one ticket lasting all day.

Running seven days a week and travelling in a circular route, the two open-top buses start simultaneously at 10.15am at Lyndhurst main car park and Beaulieu village, travelling in an anti-clockwise route.

Stops en route include Hollands Wood camp site, Brockenhurst rail station, Lymington High Street (Waitrose on Saturdays), Lymington Gosport Street, Lymington Pier, Beaulieu Motor Museum, Beaulieu village, Exbury Gardens, Beaulieu Road rail station and Denny Wood camp site. The last departure from Lyndhurst is at 5.15pm, terminating at Beaulieu village at 6.15pm.

The motivation for the bus is to get visitors out of their cars and on to public transport, thus helping to keep traffic levels down during the summer months.

Tickets cost £9 per adult (children aged 5-15 half-price) with a group of up to 5 people travelling together for £22.50 and are available at Lyndhurst and Lymington Visitor Information Centres and the Local Information Points at Beaulieu, Brockenhurst and Sway. Tickets can also be purchased on the buses.

With each ticket comes a New Forest Tour Official Guide that provides useful information about what to look out for, discounts for attractions and 4 sample cycling/walking routes.

See more, explore more and enjoy more of this beautiful area of England by going green and allowing someone else to do the driving.
