World Series by Renault ticket requests soar through six-figure barrier

The event at the Leicestershire venue is the only chance UK motorsport fans get to see the wide range of racing series and historic car parades that comprise World Series by Renault. Supplementing the high-quality racing are demonstrations by the double World Champion ING Renault F1 Team. Test driver Jonathan Cochet will pilot the title-winning R26 in two crowd-pleasing exhibition runs on Saturday and two on Sunday, giving fans the chance to see last year’s F1 title-winning car at close quarters.
Headlining the racing action is the World Series by Renault, featuring 425hp Formula Renault 3.5 single-seater racing cars, fitted with the ‘push-to-pass’ system to dramatically increase overtaking opportunities. Reaching speeds of up to 180mph, the series is a showcase for some of the world’s best young racers. Completing the World Series by Renault package are Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 and Eurocup Mégane Trophy. Supporting the International action are the leading one-make series from the UK, the Formula Renault UK with Michelin Championship and ELF Renault Clio Cup.
Historic Renault displays and parades, Formula One simulators, the F1 pit-stop challenge, Renault product stands, free funfair, children’s area and Renault safety demonstrations cater for all interests.
Commenting on the ticket request figure, Renault UK’s Motorsport Director, Tim Jackson, said: “The fact that so many free tickets have already been snapped up proves the incredible quality and value of the World Series weekend. Our aim is to entertain everyone who attends and, with the range of activities on offer, I’m sure no-one will be disappointed."
