Last call for HomeBuy Direct

Last chance to buy through the Homebuy Direct Scheme

Time is running out for people looking to save money on a new dream home this summer – as the Government’s popular shared equity scheme is nearing an end.

The HomeBuy Direct incentive is being withdrawn this September, leaving only a few weeks for customers to take advantage of the scheme that could save them thousands of pounds.

The incentive – which is available on selected homes across Stamford Homes developments in Grimsby, Louth and Market Rasen - allows customers to own 100 per cent of their new home but for just 70 per cent of the price.

The remaining 30 per cent is met equally by Stamford Homes and the Government through a repayable loan, interest free for five years. And by using a recommended mortgage lender under the HBD initiative, there is also the possibility of no deposit to pay.

Stamford Homes sales director Steve Woomble, said: “We have already seen a high number of reservations through the HomeBuy Direct scheme, which gives first time buyers, key workers or people needing to upsize the opportunity select the home of their dreams at a price they can afford.

“However, time is running out for customers who want to take advantage of this scheme, as we are now taking the final reservations on homes eligible under the HBD scheme.”
