Not so secret gardens at Thoresby Hall Hotel

Can’t resist taking a peek at other people’s gardens? The National Garden Scheme encourages you to do just that, opening up gardens of all sizes to the public in aid of a number of charities.
The 50 acres of gardens at Warner Leisure’s Thoresby Hall Hotel, near Sherwood Forest in Nottingham are amongst gardens open to the public on a selected Saturdays in July. Restored over the last decade to the 18th century glory first created by Sir Humphrey Repton the gardens include a new species of rose, created within the magnificent rose garden.
But if you don’t feel that a day out and Pimm’s on the terrace will give you enough time to enjoy all that the hotel has to offer, Thoresby Hall has three night weekend breaks available during July and August from just £239 per person.

Book a break at Thoresby Hall from August 2nd and you can enjoy private visits to nearby gardens within the NGS scheme. Arranged exclusively for Warner Leisure Hotels, guests can visit Gringley Hall which has 1.5 acres of walled country garden surrounding a beautiful Regency house, enjoy the exceptional roses at Sunnyside Cottage and take a peek at nearby Gardeners Cottage which is described as ‘a delightfully planted peaceful backwater in an urban setting’.
The four night break costs from £311 per person.
Prices are based on two people sharing an Ambassador Room and includes a three course dinner each evening, hearty buffet breakfasts and a full range of indoor and outdoor leisure facilities - from swimming and saunas to fencing and croquet.
