Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has launched the first showhome of its new ‘Scotland’ range at the company’s popular Gilbertfield development of new homes in Cambuslang!

Inspired by Gilbertfield Castle - a ruined early 17th century castle that’s located nearby on Dechmont Hill – Taylor Wimpey’s Gilbertfield development features a choice of 44 family homes in Cambuslang, on the south-eastern outskirts of Glasgow and within an easy travelling distance of the city centre. There’s a mix of 42 four bedroom detached homes, as well as 2 three bedroom semi detached family homes for customers to choose from. Prices currently start from £198,000 for the four bedroom Douglas.

The four bedroom detached Hume is an impressive addition to any street scene and the showhome boasts an air of effortless style throughout. The welcoming central hall leads to a collection of rooms that have been designed to make family life stress-free. The kitchen has plenty of space for informal family dining, and the vanilla high-gloss units work well with the burst of citrus lemon and lime colours that add a refreshing style statement in this practical room. French doors from the breakfasting area lead to the rear garden – great for making the most of your outdoor space. Next door the downstairs cloakroom is a handy addition for busy families.

For the ultimate in peace and quiet, the lounge of this home is situated at the rear of the property and boasts views over the garden. A palette of soothing creams combined with bursts of sea-green and turquoise creates a sophisticated, yet relaxed look in this impressive room.

The luxurious dining room at the front of the property is perfect for that special occasion, and the combination of crisp white leather chairs and contemporary glass table creates the feeling of an intimate restaurant right in your own home. A vertical leaf pattern wall-paper creates a stunning feature that will get your dinner guests talking. On the opposite side of the hall there’s a study with a large storage cupboard – the perfect place for a home office.

Upstairs there are four spacious bedrooms. Bedroom two and three enjoy the benefit of a ‘Jack and Jill’ ensuite where both rooms have access to an en-suite - making this home a very popular choice for families with older children! Youngsters will fall in love with bedroom two and its enchanting heart design styling throughout, whilst next door the rainbow candy stripe makes bedroom three another sweet choice.

The master bedroom is a sumptuous haven of contemporary silvers, greys and charcoal that’s the perfect retreat after a busy day. The luxurious en-suite ensures there’s no need to queue for the family bathroom along the landing!

Taylor Wimpey aims to offer customers the chance to get more out of life and to move more easily and the opening of a new showhome is the perfect time to see how easy a move can be as Susan McDonald, sales manager for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland adds:

“Gilbertfield has been a hot-spot for buyers keen to buy off-plan over the last few months, and since the opening of our new four bedroom detached Hume showhome even more customers are choosing this development as their new home. Seeing a showhome like the Hume lets customers see for themselves the type of lifestyle they can achieve with a move here – plus this is the first opportunity for customers to experience a home from our new ‘Scotland’ range so it’s the perfect time to visit.

“Plus Taylor Wimpey also offers more ways to help customers move more easily – from our Easymover scheme that’s designed to relieve the stress and hassle of your move, to part-exchange on selected plots – we’re more than happy to help.”
