Peugeot 5008 wins What Car? Green MPV of the Year

The accomplished and award-winning Peugeot 5008 has won another trophy this week – having been chosen as the ‘MPV of the Year’ at the What Car? Green Car of the Year Awards.
Utilising Peugeot’s renowned HDi diesel and petrol engines, the 5008 is a modern Compact MPV with the ability to carry seven individuals or fold the seats away to reveal a large load capacity. This versatility, combined with a high-quality interior design, makes for a highly practical vehicle and its low CO2 output means low running costs too.
What Car? Comments: “Our winner scores highly on other important buying considerations – from space and practicality to buying and running costs.
The Green MPV of the Year is the Peugeot 5008 1.6 HDi 110 Active.
The 5008 was our favourite MPV in this year’s Car of the Year Awards.
On top of all its talents as an MPV, this model’s average fuel economy of 53.2mpg and 140g/km of CO2 means it’s as efficient and kind to the planet as you could hope for from a car of this size and versatility. Along with relatively low servicing and insurance costs, it’s reasonable to run. The same figures make it a fine company car; a 20% rating means lower-rate taxpayers pay just £62 a month. An MPV that scores so highly on every front and also boasts class-leading efficiency and emissions can only be our ‘Green MPV of the Year’.”
Editor-in-Chief, Steve Fowler, comments with his Green verdict: “It’s our MPV of the Year. We think it’s a brilliant family car, but it’s also impressively kind to the environment – and your pocket.”
