Get ready to Rummble with WAYN.com

WAYN.com has officially launched new mobile apps for Android and iPhone, partnering with mobile recommendation service Rummble.

The WAYN Mobile Apps have been created to make it even easier for people to share what they would love to do. Peter Ward, co-Founder of WAYN announced the new apps saying, “Mobile is key to WAYN’s vision of helping people realise their dreams. WAYN helps you meet cool people to do fun things with and our mobile apps make that even easier, more immediate and real time.”

WAYN's 15.5 million strong community help each other to realise their dreams, whether that is to go sky diving, go on safari or get VIP access to that special new local club. WAYN needed a way to help their community to find great places nearby to meet those like-minded people. Rummble's unique personalisation technology and its global database of over 1 million places ensure users won't end up going to places they don't like.

WAYN.com is all about connecting you with people who like to do the same thing as you do, so it's a natural fit. By marrying our two services together, we hope to provide our customers with a unique way to meet people and find places close by, based on what they like". WAYN worked closely with Rummble to build the apps, using Rummble's API which can be used by companies to access Rummble’s personal recommendations and shorten the time to market for location based services.

"WAYN's first mobile offering was in 2008 with its mobile website followed by an app with mobile flight alerts, weather updates and a speaking translator, targeted at the travellers in their community. When it came to launching their main iPhone and Android apps Peter says “Partnering with Rummble seemed like the obvious choice, given their strength in the European market”.

Rummble, which recently raised $800k from m8 Capital, have already launched their own iPhone, Android and Windows Mobile apps providing its fast growing user base with nearly million recommendations in over 126 countries. The global WAYN community will be able to tap into these offerings immediately, which also include directions, distances and real time info like Tweets of whats happening at nearby places.
