Persimmon scores a hat trick in Essex

The team at leading homebuilder Persimmon Homes Essex are celebrating after three of the company’s site managers have been awarded Pride In The Job Quality Awards from the National House Building Council (NHBC).
Jamie Harris at the company The Poppies development in Little Dunmow, John Maitland based at the Evolution site in Dagenham and Douglas Bennington at a social housing scheme in Clacton on Sea have collectively won the award five times and are now among the top 400 site managers in the country. They will now go forward to the next stage of the competition and compete for the NHBC Seal of Excellence Award which is being announced later this year.
Ian Jeffrey, managing director for Persimmon Homes Essex, believes the sites managers’ dedication to quality and a ‘get it right first time’ attitude has led to their recognition. He states: “Jamie, John and Douglas carry 74 years of housebuilding experience between them and their commitment to their developments, their workmanship and their team is second to none, which is why they are very deserving of their titles. We look forward to hearing the outcome of the Seal of Excellence Awards in due course.”
Now in its 29th year the Pride in the Job Awards recognise and reward just 400 out of a total of 17,000 site managers who consistently demonstrate commitment to high standards in housebuilding.
