Roade Juniors score new sponsorship deal

Scoring goals won’t be the only thing that impresses supporters of Roade Juniors Under 9’s football team when the players step onto the pitch in new kit fit for the premiership, courtesy of house builder Taylor Wimpey Midlands.

After hearing that their old kit was in danger of relegation, Taylor Wimpey, which is building new homes at its Grafton Gate development in Roade, stepped in with a donation of £400; covering the cost of new football shirts for the squad of 10 players, who are all aged nine or below.

Kevin Parfitt, from Roade Juniors, said: “We’d like to say a huge thanks to Taylor Wimpey Midlands for their generous donation. It’s fantastic that we’re able to offer youngsters the chance to develop their love of football through Roade Juniors and having new kit to wear gives our mini football team a real confidence boost; they can’t wait to get on the pitch to show it off to their families and friends.”
