Race Car Live! More rallying, karts and 4x4
Seen as the grand finale of the UK’s motorsport season, Race Car Live returns to Brands Hatch on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st November and is expanding to include high octane Rally, Karting and 4x4 live action. Now in its sixth year, the expansion was a natural extension for the established motorsport industry event.
Brands Hatch is famous worldwide for its circuit and superb facilities but many are unaware of the Rally and 4x4 stages as well as its Karting facilities. For the first time, the Race Car Live organisers have decided to open these up for would be competitors giving them the opportunity to test their potential rides for the coming season.
Organiser Philip Bunn explains: “The very nature of Brands Hatch means that we can showcase the various disciplines of competitive motorsport through live action while promoting the diverse range of clubs, race promoters and manufacturers in operation. The show is open to all levels of enthusiasts from regular race goers to armchair racers but mainly caters for those directly involved in motorsport as a driver, team member, race series organiser, etc.”
In the Race Car Live area, manufacturers will unveil their latest models while series organisers will give drivers the opportunity to explore changing formulas. There will also be suppliers and traders offering everything needed for the coming season.
There will also be the chance to hitch a ride with some of the UK’s finest racing drivers who will be putting the latest vehicles through their paces on the famous Indy Circuit. A general motorsport exhibition, which includes the garages, paddock and new indoor trade area, is all part of what you can expect to see along with a great display of classic racing cars and a ‘racecars for sale’ section.
Rally Live will feature some of the most successful and powerful Rally cars of today and yesterday. All these will be live on the Rally stage at Brands Hatch with professional drivers at the wheel, with some giving visitors the opportunity to ride with them in the passenger seat. Rally series organisers will also be on hand to give advice on how to get started in this popular discipline.
For 4x4 owners who have dreamt of putting their own vehicle through its paces in a safe but challenging environment, then 4x4 Live is the place. Booking your own vehicle in to try out the 4x4 facilities is easy. Just book in on the website when you buy your show ticket. There will even be a team from Karcher at the end of the circuit to wash your vehicle at the end of its run! There will be pro-drivers ready to sit with you as you negotiate the circuit, ready to give advice and pass on driving tips.
There will be an awesome array of 4x4 vehicles used in event such as the Paris Dakar, and the awesome RX buggies complete with Honda 950cc fireblade engines.
The final new area is Kart Live where you can watch many of the two and four stroke engine categories that make up the competitive British Karting scene. Highlights will include demonstrations from the British Superkart Association with over 30 ‘pocket rocket’ karts out on the Indy circuit, some reaching a top speed of 150mph!
Race Car Live is open from 9am until 5pm each day. Tickets are available costing £12 for adults in advance and £15 on the day. Children’s tickets are just £8 in advance or £12 on the day with under 5’s entering for free. For the latest updates or to book tickets, visit racecarlive.com.
