Just one property of The New Collection at Gittisham Hill Park - the area's age exclusive community - remains for sale.

The 10 one bedroom bungalows have taken the number of independent living homes at the retirement village to 32, which nestle alongside the 30 bed registered care home on the 12 acre site.

Four of the new properties were reserved, off plan, on the weekend they were released for sale. Since building work was completed in the spring, the new residents have settled into their homes and started to get involved in village life.

Brenda Eisner was the first resident to move into The New Collection. She said: “It’s very difficult moving from a home where you’ve been happy, but I feel very settled here. I go to meetings and join in games afternoons, and I’m getting to know my new neighbours.’

The bungalows have been designed to offer contemporary flexible living with ease of use in mind. Bathrooms have level access showers and easy use mixer taps. The fully-fitted kitchens feature integrated appliances. Patio doors open out from the kitchen onto the landscaped and maintained grounds.

Gittisham Hill Park, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, near Honiton in Devon, is owned by Retirement Villages Ltd, an established company with 11 retirement villages throughout the country.

Sales and Marketing Director Sarah Burgess said: "We are delighted The New Collection has proved so popular. They have become a real feature of the village, centred as they are on the new sensory garden."

The last remaining new home at Gittisham Hill Park is priced at £229,950 leasehold.
