Persimmon Homes Anglia sponsors Waveney Gymnastics
Lowestoft gymnastics club, Waveney Gymnastics, has secured a new corporate sponsorship deal with local homebuilder, Persimmon Homes Anglia, which is set to assist with the ongoing costs and upkeep of the state of the art facility.
Waveney Gymnastics was formed in 1976, which coincidentally is the very same year Persimmon Homes Anglia started trading. The club boasts over 1,100 square foot of floor space and with 1,200 world class members and over 20 expert coaches, it has been successfully included in the official London 2012 pre-games training camp guide.
Persimmon Homes Anglia’s contributions will assist with competition entrance fees, new equipment and maintenance as well as travel expenses for competing gymnasts and their coaches.
Vikki Rogers, centre manager at Waveney Gymnastics, believes the support will not only help with the ongoing running costs of the club, but also ensure the junior gymnasts are able to compete at an extremely high level around the country. She states: “Several of our youngsters are proving to be very promising and some will certainly feature in future National and Junior International Competitions such as the 2014 Junior Europeans. Our relationship with Persimmon will help us to further develop the club and we are extremely grateful for their support.”

We look forward to hearing of their progress over the coming months and wish to congratulate the club on being selected as one of the official training camps for the Olympics.”
