Twenty-four test drive turns into a Renault Laguna GT win

A 24-hour test drive at Holden Norwich proved to be the lucky ticket for Andrew Howell when he won a national prize draw to win a Laguna GT dCi 180 worth £20,000.

Andrew, who runs Howell Design and Build in Hemsby, is an existing customer of Holden and has owned four Renault cars over the past nine years.

His new Laguna GT comes with distinctive sport style and new 4Control chassis with four-wheel steering, as well as a three-year/100,000 mile warranty. Andrew has also opted for an electric panoramic sun roof, electrically- adjustable heated seats, a Tune-Point so he can plug in his MP3 player whenever he’s on the move, carpet mats, and heated door mirrors.

He said: “A friend of mine suggested taking the Laguna Hatch for a 24-hour test drive which we did and absolutely loved it. It’s absolutely gorgeous and so eye-catching and we were impressed with its performance and refinement. However, we never gave the competition another thought. In fact I got a call at work from my wife Melanie asking if I’d entered a competition to win a car, and we almost threw the letter in the bin not quite believing it was genuine!

“Once we had confirmation from Renault, we went into Holden and saw the new Laguna GT in Malta blue in the showroom and we instantly fell in love with it. Also with the current economic climate this news could not have come at a better time!

“I’m going to miss my Mégane Renaultsport 225, but am thrilled with the Laguna GT. I’ve always loved Renaults – their trim and equipment levels are unbelievable – you get so much with them.”
