Clio Campus win helps St Wilfrid’s Hospice raise more than £10,000

The lure of the prize car helped the hospice raise more than £10,000 for the charity which helps local people with terminal illnesses.
Watched by representatives from the hospice, as well as Appledram, Marion received the keys from Richard Hemming, owner and Managing Director of Hemming Renault, the dealership that supplied the car, after her winning ticket was pulled out of the hat just before Christmas.
Marion, who is a volunteer at the hospice and a member of the West Wittering and District Support Group, said: “I was delighted to win as I’ve never won anything with this sort of prestige. The year has started rather well!”
Simon Taylor, Head of Communications and Fundraising said: “Marion is a valued member of St Wilfrid’s voluntary staff and has been fundraising tirelessly for many years and we can’t think of a more worthy winner.
“We would also like to thank Hemming Renault dealership of Chichester for all their support and we look forward to working with them in 2009/10.”
Richard Hemming, owner and Managing Director of Hemming Renault said: “It’s always a delight to hand over the keys to a brand new Renault, however, on this occasion, it really was a cause for celebration as more than £10,000 was raised for this important local charity which does such vital work for the Chichester community.
“We were pleased to get together with Appledram who provided the second prize of tickets to the Blues on the Farm festival in June and hope Marion enjoys the everyday driveability and character of the Clio Campus.”
