With average homes in the Kilwinning and Greenock areas taking between six and nine months to sell, Redrow is offering buyers the chance to sell their current property in just 48 hours.

Part exchange is the hassle-free way to sell your existing house and pave the way to a brand new home. And Redrow is hosting two ‘part exchange’ weekends this Saturday and Sunday (7 /8 August) at Whitehirst Grange, in Kilwinning, and Sylvan Brae, in Inverkip, so buyers can find out everything they need to know.

Latest figures from Home.co.uk show that average houses in Kilwinning and Greenock are taking twice as long to sell as they did in August 2008, so Redrow’s offer to speed up the move is particularly attractive.

Mary McHutchison, sales manager for Redrow Homes (Scotland), explains: “For many people, the potential hassle that comes with selling their existing property could be all that stands in the way of them buying a brand new detached home.

“But with part exchange they don’t need to worry as Redrow will effectively act as a cash buyer for their existing home, in many cases making an offer on their house within just 48 hours. They won’t have to worry about estate agent’s fees or getting stuck in a complicated housing chain.

“So if people are having trouble selling their home, or haven’t thought about moving yet but want to see what we can offer them, they can come to one of our part exchange weekends and find out more. Visitors can take a look inside our beautifully decorated and fully furnished show homes, to get a real feel for the homes and our high quality interiors, along with a number of other completed properties available to view at Sylvan Brae, Inverkip.”

Set in a semi-rural location amid some beautiful Ayrshire countryside and close to the coast, Whitehirst Grange is within easy reach of the centre of Kilwinning and also has good commuter access to Glasgow, which is just 30 minutes away by train. There is a good selection of four-bedroom homes available from £203,000 to £225,000.

Just six miles from Greenock, Sylvan Brae enjoys some stunning views towards the Firth of Clyde and the beautiful mountains of Argyll. It’s already proving popular with local families as well as Glasgow commuters, which is 45 minutes away by train. Three and four-bedroom homes are priced from £176,000 to £275,000.

All homes feature Redrow’s latest interior specification, with an emphasis on convivial open-plan living spaces, contemporary kitchens with floor to ceiling units and top brand name appliances, plus modern white bathroom suites with quality fixtures and fittings.

For more information about the homes available, visit the developments over the ‘part exchange weekend’, on Saturday and Sunday, August 7 and 8, from 10am to 5.30pm.
