Jean and David Ashford can relax and enjoy their retirement in their stylish new Redrow home in Barton-upon-Humber.

“We recently retired and wanted to downsize from our five-storey architect-designed townhouse to somewhere that was easy to manage and ready to move into,” Jean explained.

“Once we had an offer for our old home we started looking around and visited Fox’s Fold, where we saw the four-bedroom ‘Lea’. It really fitted the bill as there’s plenty of room for our grandchildren to stay.”

Jean, 63, and David, 66, didn’t have to worry about repairs or renovations as their new home came with everything finished to a high standard, including a contemporary fitted kitchen with top name appliances and sleek white suites and quality fixtures and fittings in the bathroom and en-suite.

“I would recommend Redrow because they offer quality built homes with designs that stand out from other new properties. The staff were really friendly and helped us put our own stamp on the interior,” Jean said.

“And because it’s built to modern energy efficiency standards, we can hopefully save money on our utility bills.”

Patsy Aicken, sales manager for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), commented: “Our brand new homes are ideal for buyers who don’t want the hassle or the expense of having to correct someone else’s DIY disasters. They’re also easier to manage as they won’t need expensive repairs or renovations.”

Fox’s Fold currently features a selection of three and four-bedroom terraced, semi and detached homes from just £131,995 and also has some three and four-bedroom detached homes from Redrow’s New Heritage Collection.
