Shakespeare’s Birthplace gardens are to be the unique setting for two special live performances with ‘Shakespeare Aloud’ on Thursday 19 and Thursday 26 August. Visitors can enjoy listening to excerpts from Shakespeare’s plays performed by the resident acting company plus meet some of Shakespeare’s most intriguing characters.

The performances offer visitors the rare opportunity of viewing and relaxing in the beautiful country gardens as the sun sets.

Visitors are welcome to bring their own picnic and seating. Doors will open at 7.30pm with the performance starting at 8pm and ending by 9.30pm.

Tickets, which also include access to Shakespeare’s Birthplace and the ‘Shakespeare's Women’ exhibition, will be on sale from Friday 30 July. Tickets are priced at just £10 for adults, £7.50 for all concessions and £25 for a family.
