The Vagina Monologues – Britain’s funniest and sexiest show – is off again on a mammoth 73 date UK tour.
Back by popular demand after a hugely successful UK tour in 2009 this remarkable, hilarious and heart warming show will tour from 14th September to 4th October 2010.
The star studded cast for this extensive UK autumn tour includes the enormous talent of Nikki Sanderson – one of the best loved characters in Coronation Street and more recently Heartbeat; the unstoppable Roxanne Pallett who shot to fame as Jo Stile in Emmerdale and is now set to take the stage by storm coming fresh from the tour of Rock around the Clock; and the great household favourite Sue Jenkins best known as Jackie Corkhill from Brookside, she has featured in countless other TV classics.

Ensler asked over 200 women of all ages, ethnic backgrounds and walks of life to share their most intimate secrets in “vagina interviews” on such normally taboo topics as birth, sex, orgasms and relationships with truly revelatory results.
The Vagina Monologues has been critically acclaimed receiving prestigious nominations for Drama Desk and Obie awards in 1999 in New York, and a nomination for the 2002 Olivier Award for Best Entertainment. The show is a global phenomenon and has been translated into over 45 languages and performed in over 130 countries with open-ended runs in New York and Paris.
This classic show commands many of the country’s foremost performers. Actresses for the 2009 tour included Suzanne Shaw, Jennifer Ellison, Jessie Wallace, Mel Geidroyc, Zaraah Abrahams, Lisa Riley, Wendi Peters and Sue Holderness. Every performance of The Vagina Monologues donates a portion of ticket sales to the V-day fund, an organisation that provides charitable aid to women and girls who have been victims of abuse and violence. Since May 2001 the West End and touring productions of The Vagina Monologues has donated in excess of £300,000 to local charities.
