Haweswater Hotel announces Christmas packages

The Haweswater Hotel has launched its Christmas packages offering a unique opportunity for visitors to take a step back in time to the golden Art Deco era of true hospitality, service and comfort.

The three night full-board packages start from as little as £280 per person and with the hotel’s stunning location alongside the Haweswater Reservoir and set against a backdrop of mountains this really is a magical Christmas break.

The holiday begins from Christmas Eve as guests are welcomed to the hotel for homemade hot mince pies and mulled wine in the lounge in front of the roaring fire, followed by a three course dinner at Le Mardale restaurant.

Christmas Day is a leisurely affair with highlights including a local hearty Cumbrian breakfast and with a glass of Bucks Fizz, a champagne reception, five course traditional Christmas lunch, an afternoon stroll around the Haweswater Reservoir and a relaxing evening buffet created by the head chef.

On Boxing Day visitors can chose to enjoy a late breakfast before deciding what to do for the day. With walking, cycling and fishing available from the doorstep there is plenty to keep everyone occupied or in the event of inclement weather why not just enjoy a relaxing day by the fire with a good book. Either way a pre-ordered packed lunch will be available to keep hunger at bay. Boxing Day evening brings everyone together for an Art Deco themed farewell dinner. There is even a prize for the best dressed.
