After a phenomenal 2009 season, which saw a staggering two million visitors, planning for Hyde Park Winter Wonderland 2010, London’s largest and most dazzling winter event is well underway.

With no admission fee, Winter Wonderland offers the best Christmas day-out in the UK, with beautifully decorated attractions set out across 20 acres of historic parkland. Hyde Park Winter Wonderland now offers almost seven whole weeks of festive fun – right in the heart of the Capital!

Incentives for group bookings of the Ice Rink, Zippos Circus, Observation Wheel and Cirque D’Hiver show are available via SEE Tickets.

Winter Wonderland will once again feature London’s biggest outdoor ice-rink, the iconic Giant Observation Wheel, new and exciting rollercoaster rides and Santa Land for kids. Winter Wonderland will see the return of traditional and modern attractions & the introduction of many new ones. This year the event is set to be better than ever with many exciting new additions. The first of these to be announced include the Angel’s Christmas Market and an exciting new evening circus show.

New for 2010, will be the Angel’s Christmas Market, located at the Hyde Park entrance to Winter Wonderland. The Market will feature over one hundred wooden chalets - many run by the artisans themselves – offering unusual and handmade gifts, including ceramics, candles, glasswork, jewellery, clothing and beauty products. A number of stalls also feature traditional Christmas items such as wooden toys, nativity scenes and decorations.

Visitors will enter the Angels Market through beautifully decorated entrance gates near Hyde Park corner where angel figures and hundreds of star lights will illuminate the market creating a beautiful ambience. Festive music will fill the air as visitors will be tempted by the sweet smells of freshly cooked gourmet festive treats including gingerbread, sweets, fresh breads and pastries.

Due to phenomenal public demand in 2009, which saw most shows selling out, Winter Wonderland has also added even more live big top circus shows for this year. Family-favourite, Zippos Circus, will make a welcome return to the Winter Wonderland Big Top with a family festive circus show during the day, featuring Timoni the Elf and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer who will open up a magical toy box to reveal a thrilling line up of colourful circus stars.

In the evening, the Winter Wonderland Big Top will present ‘Cirque D’Hiver’ a brand new world-class Circus. The finest artistes from across the globe merge into a single breathtaking performance spectacle set inside a sleeping mind. Contortionists, aerialists, acrobats, the heart-stopping Wheel of Death and a final battle of fire are all part of this stunning visual spectacle. Driven by its own powerful musical soundtrack, Cirque D’Hiver is a delight for the ears as well as the eyes.

The magical atmosphere of Winter Wonderland comes alive in the evenings when choirs and bands perform and the trees along the Serpentine Road sparkle with thousands of Christmas lights, highlighting the beauty of London’s best loved park.

More new attractions will be announced soon.
